TwitterUniting the Past Through Tomorrow - the theme of the Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Viking Union. The VU has been the center of student life since 1959. Thousands of events, a myriad of services, home to the Associated Students, - a place to gather, experience, and create community. In recognition of this Golden Anniversary, the Viking Union will host a week of activities starting with a DJ'd costume dance the night before Halloween. Throughout the following week, each week day will see a celebration of a decade of those 50 years. Each day will include a wide selection of music, activities, food, drawings (free stuff), and an opportunity to view the contents of the original 1959 time capsule, as well as make suggestions for a new time capsule to "Unite the Past Through Tomorrow."
