Off-Campus Housing Registry

The listing service allows Western Washington University students, faculty and staff to locate both local housing and roommates. This listing is provided by the Viking Union, via a third-party vendor, as a free service to members of the campus community. Landlords may contract independently with the service provider to list available housing.

The listings for off-campus housing are compiled by the service provider and then provided to the campus community for convenience only. Information in each listing was provided by the seeker of roommates or a landlord/property manager and the University has not verified its accuracy. The University does not inspect or endorse any of the rental accommodations identified in these listings, nor does it screen potential roommates. All arrangements for off-campus rental housing are strictly between the user and the landlord.

Notice

The lawful living situation for residences zoned as single-family residential units is stated in Belligham Municipal Code 20.08.020.F as:
"One or more persons related by blood, marriage, or adoption, or not more than 3 unrelated persons, living together within a single dwelling unit."

If you have any questions call (360) 650-4772.

The best situation for a successful rental experience is when the users understand their rights and responsibilities as a renter and find the type of rental accommodations that will best support their experience at Western.

Further information and resources concerning landlord/tenant issues are available from the Associated Students Legal Information Center and from the Washington State Office of the Attorney General. If you are renting within the Bellingham city limits, you should contact the "Crime Free Multi-housing Program". State and Federal laws and University policy do not permit discrimination in the provision of housing on the basis of race, color, age or national origin.

Landlords and real estate firms can use this service to advertise rooms, apartments and houses available off campus. This online service is provided under contract with a third party who charges a small fee. A portion of that fee is donated to Western Washington University.

Students, Faculty and staff can search the database and list their profiles to find roommates free of charge. A valid WWU email address is required.
